As soon as you arrive and exit Amsterdam central station, you will find the GVB ticket office to the left. It’s very easy to find and you couldn’t miss it unless you exit to the rear for the ferries.
Staff spoke English, explained how the tram travel cards worked and we purchased them without a problem. We purchased a 7day card for our stay and it was simple and easy to navigate on the trams. You’ll find loads of leaflets and information on tourist attractions to visit and have the option to purchase tickets from the office too.
I’d highly recommend checking them out to see what they have on option, or just for information on ideas for your stay.
A beautiful white building opposite Amsterdam Central Station. The centre to buy tickets and information for the boat cruise and tours around the city.
Horrible, worse and so on. Always tram 3, tram 5 bus 18 are always late. Always a frustrating service. And no one to ask for.
I came to the GVB Tickets after I had arrived in Amsterdam and I needed to get a week GVB ticket and when I came here, the queue was out of the building but we got processed really quickly there were several machines however when I visited these were all out of order but when we got through, the person dealing with my enquiry was lovely and I had explained my needs and what we needed and because we were in Amsterdam for a week I needed to have something to cover transportation and they sorted out the card for my partner and me, I was really satisfied with how I got my enquiry dealt with and we had a lovely time in Amsterdam.
Excellent information-booth staff. I was informed on how to proceed after a not-used ticket after a delayed flight that made me lose the last train, after having paid and printed the ticket from the machine.
The employee in the middle counter really didn’t want to help she was definitely not happy about working customer support. She would just hand me some business cards and tell me to ask my questions online or on the phone. At least the lady on the far left was very friendly and interested about helping me out.
Rude and incompetent staff the ticket machine was out of paper they could not manage to fix it and she was shouting at people to give her some space. Then she started to give ticket numbers herself not caring who was first. Finally when it was our turn the guy behind the desk was not helpful at all even we had receipt showing we purchased a weekend ticket hand lost one of them he said you need to buy another ticket in a very snobbish way
**** you and your QR code, they are not working properly hence you end up paying more tickets where as you already have your daily ticket paid.
